Ask anyone I know, and they'll tell you who my favorite american idol contestant of all time is. It's Kelly Clarkson, clearly. In fact, she's not just my favorite idol contestant, she's my favorite artist/performer/singer, whatever you want to call her. The girl is the best thing to have come from this show. There are other talented people to come from idol though. Carrie Underwood, Daughtry, Jordin Sparks, David Cook & David Archuleta. Some people just have a bit more staying power than others. Anyway, I haven't really been a devoted idol fan since season 3 (Ruben and Fantasia never really caught on with radio though), and I was able to catch an episode tonight. The final 4 contestants are pretty good. Not really sure who is going to win. Adam Lambert seems to be a favorite of everyones. He's an openly gay contestant, and I think the only other openly gay contestant to win an Idol show was season 1 of the original Pop Idol show in the UK, William Young. Although, I don't think he was open about it until after he won. Anyway, my point being, could an openly gay winner hit it off on the radio and with non-fans of the tv show around the world? Or would he just be another 'winner' who wins the thing and soon after disappears? For some reason, the general public doesn't seem to favor gay singers/actors in the industry, which is why so many of them have to work so hard to keep their secret just that, a secret. Anyway, if Adam wins, I guess we'll find out. Speaking of which though, he's everyone's favorite and the "sure winner" by many, but he was in the bottom 3 tonight. See, this, I think, is FOX/Idol playing with us. I think they fool around with their viewers. I somehow doubt he was 'really' in the bottom 3. I think FOX/Idol has been toying with it's viewers minds for a while now, just to make the show that more interesting. Do your phonecall votes REALLY count? Speaking of which, Canadians view the show at the exact same time Americans view the show, but we're not allowed to vote. The only time we've been allowed to vote was back in 2002 for WORLD IDOL, and you could vote for anyone. Who did I vote for? Miss Kelly Clarkson obviously. Since I couldn't vote for her when she was on Idol back in 2002, now was my chance to get in all those missed votes I wasn't able to give her.. So how many times did I vote for Kelly? I think I counted around 300. In one night. In 2 hours. I used the housephone and my cellphone and voted non-stop for the 2 hours that you were allowed. Crazy? no. Obsessed? yes. :P Okay I'm getting waaaay off topic here. Going back to who should win this season of Idol, I think it should be Kris Allen. He has that Jason Mraz thing going on, and he's been compared to the guy on the show as well. Adam is amazing, but I think would do better on broadway. Danny's great too, but I don't know how he would do AFTER idol. I don't really know much about Allison. I can't seem to remember the few performances I've seen from her. But Kris, I just think he would be the best bet. But everyone has their opinion right? And their favorite... that being said, nobody, and I mean NOBODY, will EVER be as incredible as Kelly Clarkson, ALRIGHT?! The girl gave me a piggyback ride for christ sake. Seriously, she did. Hopefully that is all I will talk about American Idol here. I'm not one of those "must watch every week" people. But I will catch it when I can. Anyway, today was my first day back at work. It was alright. Nothing special. Worked for about 3 hours, got in, made some money, got out. We have to wear a new uniform for the summer, and its a short sleeved buttoned up white dress shirt. I know right? What blind fool thought this one up? It's the same thing as last year and I HATE it. I mean, it's alright when it's 30°c outside and you're dying from the heat, but, I just think we look like fools, or as I say, sailors. I think we look like freakin sailors! Plus, I'm a puny bitch so people can see my body size. Co-workers today kept on commenting on "did you lose weight?" which some people might like to hear, but I'm a 23 year old dude whos skinny as fuck, and I TRY to gain weight, so whenever people say that to me, I have to hold myself back from making some rude comment back about their weight. I feel as if 'being skinny' comments, are on par with being 'overweight' comments. So shut the fuck up people! Guess it's finally time to get some whey-gain powder and hit the gym. Gotta bulk up to look good at work. Fuckers.
